There is currently an ongoing student mental health crisis. In 2011, 0.7% of university applicants declared a mental health condition. That figure has since risen to 3.7%. Yet many students don't feel able to talk about their mental health - and that's why confidential peer-run services like Nightline are so important.
Nightline, a student-run support service that’s available to all University of Nottingham students via phone, text messaging, and Skype, is there to help when students are at their lowest. This vital service is open 7pm to 8am every night, and 24 hours a day during the stressful freshers’ period and exam season.
Nightline’s listening service provides a safe space for Nottingham's students to talk to someone without fear of being judged, rushed or identified. No matter what is on your mind, Nightline is there to listen to you and can help you get the support you need.
You have the power to help. Your generous donations can help us to increase student-led mental health support at Nottingham, so that students can get the vital support they need when they’re feeling low.
By donating today, you can help us to uplift student mental health support. Because at the University of Nottingham, mental health matters.
